Privacy.

What this site collects, why it collects it, and what happens to it afterwards. Written in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.

This policy is a draft prepared with the site. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the governing law named at the end is a placeholder. Both need settling before launch.

What this site collects

The site has two forms. The Request Service form collects your name, company, email address, phone number, the property address, the type of work, how urgent it is, your description of the job, and any photos you attach. The Become a Vendor form collects your company name, contact name, email address, phone number, the trades you cover, the states and metros you reach, whether you are insured, how long you have been in business, and your notes.

Nothing else on the site collects anything. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising tags, no social media embeds, and no third party requests of any kind. The site sets no cookies for visitors who never submit a form.

Why we collect it

We use what you send for one purpose: to answer you and to do the work. A service request becomes a scope, a price, and a dispatch. A vendor application becomes a review call and, if it fits, work orders. We also keep the record so that we can show what was agreed and what was done if anyone asks later.

Photos from a job

Photos taken during a job, and photos you attach to a request, are part of the record for that job. They are stored with the order, sent to the client the order belongs to, and kept for as long as the record is kept. They are not published, sold, or used in marketing without asking the property owner first.

Crews are told to photograph the property and the work, not the people in it. If a photo captures something it should not, tell us and we will delete it.

Email

Form submissions generate an email to our own inbox and, where you asked for one, a reply to you. We do not add form addresses to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing email to anyone who has not asked for it. There is nothing to unsubscribe from.

Calls and text messages

Both forms on this site ask you to agree to calls and text messages before they can be sent. We call or text the number you give about your request, vendor onboarding, projects and scheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any text to stop the texts. Reply HELP, call (888) 864-8981 or email contact@unitedpropertymaintenance.us for help.

We do not sell or share your phone number or your agreement to receive texts with third parties for their marketing.

Who else sees it

The vendor assigned to a job sees what they need to do the job: the address, the scope, and a contact for access. Our hosting provider stores the site and the database on our behalf. Our email provider carries the messages. Nobody else receives your information, and we do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. If a court or a regulator required disclosure we would comply, and we would tell you unless we were forbidden to.

How long it is kept

Job records, including photos, are kept for seven years, which is the window in which a billing, a claim, or a dispute over a property can still be raised. Vendor applications that do not lead to work are kept for two years. Anything else is deleted when it stops being useful.

Asking for a copy or a deletion

Write to contact@unitedpropertymaintenance.us and ask. We will send you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it, within thirty days. Where a record has to be kept for a legal reason we will say which record and why rather than simply refusing.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the back office is limited to named accounts with individual passwords. We do not take card numbers or bank details through this site, and you should never send them to us by email.

Children

This is a service for property owners and businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes and governing law

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this one on this page. Anything already collected stays governed by the terms in force when it was collected.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York. New York is a placeholder for the owner’s lawyer to confirm or replace.

Questions about any of this go to contact@unitedpropertymaintenance.us or (888) 864-8981.
